Infected by the Fediverse Virus: How to connect all in Friendica?

Hi, I just gave up on connecting # because of their # (I'm not planning anything exotic, but some of my activities seem to be incompatible with their politics; o.k., let's forget about the few hundred followers... maybe I just inform them where they can find me now..).

BUT: How can I integrate elegantly different # accounts to my main (own) server? Currently, I use my own Friendica server (admin, mexico-pensante.net) a Friendica account at nerdica.net (thanks for hosting @Ingo Jürgensmann !!!), and a mastodon.social account.

Ideally, I want to use them all (and also future ones, maybe #, # from my main Friendica account, to avoid logging on/off, switching to different webpages, etc. Is there a solution already?

Long story short: you can’t do this from Friendica. What you can do if you want to switch between different accounts is to create delegated accounts on the same Friendica node.

We do offer a Twitter connector because Fediverse/Federation can’t follow your Twitter account and vice-versa, Twitter accounts can’t follow your Friendica account.

So...for my Friendica instance I have connected it with Twitter so basically you can keep on using Twitter and interact with people there from your Friendica. It is quire great. If you want to make multiple accounts on the fediverse and keep them "synced" then there are ways but I'd not recommend this. Why not use just 1?

Friendica allows you to repost automatically from any source basically. So I have a Peertube account plus several Friendica accounts. I setup my main Friendica account to repost whenever we post on Peertube. This way Peertube goes to Friendica, but ofc I still need a Peertube account to upload to Peertube.

I too thought in the beginning that you need 1 account to login to all of these federated places but this is not the case...But this may be a feature rather than a bug.

@AndiS Well, my mexico-pensante.blog is mainly in Spanish, and for Nerdica I would use rather English or even German. @TROM@Tio uses(used?) a quite advanced system of distributing posts with tags, which is awesome. However, this looks difficult to set up.

If you really want to use 2 accounts because of different languages the best is to create a new identity for your main friendica ( mexico-pensante.blog ) and switch between the two. It is super fast. See "settings/delegation" for your friendica and register a new account. Then you can use 1 login and have multiple Friendica identities. I have several and switch between them often.

What Tio use may be the remote self feature, which allows an account to repeat posts from a remote contact in the account’s name.

The typical use case is repeating RSS items from your blog (that you can add as a contact) in your Friendica’s account name.
